TEACHING DURING UNPLANNED EVENTS
UC Santa Cruz has shifted to remote instruction for spring quarter 2020 to mitigate health threats from COVID-19. This page contains archived resources and information from our initial response. A new website, keepteaching.ucsc.edu, is now available with up-to-date resources, support, and information.

Alternatives for Instructional Delivery
When faculty elect to or must teach away from the scheduled location, it is important to consider alternatives that offer greater accessibility and support equity. Our campus offers a number of technological alternatives that, if implemented carefully, are quite effective. Check out the resources in the folder to the right.

Student Learning
During unplanned events that may interrupt or change instruction, it's a good idea to check in regularly with your students and consider making them partners in adapting to unexpected or unusual events. Please see the resources box on the right for helpful information on a variety of topics related to ensuring student learning continues even during disruptions caused by unplanned events.
